The Support Services Coordinator is responsible to provide direct services and supports to the individuals served, including, but not limited to: assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, meal preparation, completion of various household tasks, and personal care assistance. This person will also be supervising, teaching, and assisting the individuals served in every aspect of his/her life, with the goals of fostering increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that the health and safety needs are met at all times.
The Support Services Coordinator is also responsible for overseeing the documentation and household management of the sites. The Support Services Coordinator will be in direct communication with the Program Director on a daily basis.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license, personal liability automobile insurance, and driving record which allows candidates to be covered by agency insurance policy required.
• Willingness to use personal vehicle to transport individuals required.
• Willingness to be accessible to supervisor and other staff by telephone required.
• Prior education and/or experience in providing services to individuals with behavioral health, mental health, and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
The Support Services Coordinator must be responsible, mature, flexible and have a sincere desire to provide direct support to the individuals served. They must also possess positive interpersonal skills and work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors, demonstrating a supportive attitude. This position is responsible for staffing emergencies that may arise, including both scheduling replacements and covering vacancies. The Support Services Coordinator is on call at all times to receive emergency calls unless prior arrangements have been made for someone of comparable authority to assume this responsibility.
