Position Summary:
ViaQuest Hospice is currently looking for a Full Time and/or Part Time Hospice RN to join our growing team. This position will provide on-call evenings and weekends.  This position will take after hour call and PRN patient visits during rotating weekday evenings or weekends. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide comprehensive assessment of Hospice patients during non-business hours
  • Maintain open communication with other hospice team members
  • Promote positive teamwork with other staff working in the home and the organization 

Candidate must hold at least an associate's degree or equivalent in Nursing from an accredited nursing program. The RN must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania. Additional certifications/education may be required for specialty services in accordance with requirements of regulatory agencies. This position is required to maintain CEUs per state regulations. Minimum of two years of nursing experience is required, preferably in the hospice field. Previous supervisory/management experience is preferred. Acceptable background check, valid Pennsylvania driver's license, personal liability insurance, and driving record which allows candidates to be covered by agency insurance policy required.

The RN must also possess all of the following: a sincere desire to provide service and support to persons in need; the ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; the ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services; the ability to coordinate patient care services; and the ability to exchange support, constructive criticism and ideas with other staff members.
